Life Story for
Josephine "Mimi" Marcketta
Josephine “Mimi” Marcketta (nee Rasera) passed away peacefully during the overnight hours on Friday, March 16, 2018. Born in Westfield, NJ on June 2, 1932, she moved to Millburn to start a family with her late husband, Rocco. There they had three sons, Mark, Rocco, and Robert. She managed to raise her family while also working as a hair stylist. As a senior she lived in Roselle with her mother and brother, Fanny Rasera and Anthony Rasera Jr. She lived to see the birth and growth of 5 grandchildren: Anthony, Danielle, Carly, Rocco, and Nicholas Marcketta. She spent the remainder of her eighty-five beautiful years living in East Hanover, under loving care.
She is survived by her son Mark, Rocco and his wife Felisia, Robert and his wife Christine. As well as her beloved grandchildren; Anthony, Danielle, Carly, Rocco, Nicholas.
Visitation will be at Dooley Colonial Funeral Home in Westfield on Sunday March 18th from 4 to 8PM. The service will be at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church on Monday, March 19th at 10AM.
