I only knew Joan briefly, and already I miss her friendship and the lunch we had planned together. Rest in peace.

Rest in Peace dear Joan. We already miss Joan. She was a terrific lady, a firecracker, full of life, persistent and gracious. She was very accomplished, interesting and interested. She was a trailblazer and a great columnist. She was quite special. Can’t believe she is gone. She was great to work with on Westfield Historical Society's Hall of Fame committee too.
