Obituary

Diane H. Harte

Diane H. Harte, 73, passed away on January 8, 2020 in Fort Meyers, Florida. Born on October 21, 1946 to Phyllis and Charles Edmund Rolfe, she grew up in Roselle Park, NJ, where she met the love of her life, Bill Harte.

Diane graduated with an Associate’s Degree Business from Brookdale Community College and worked as the office manager at Navesink Pediatrics.
She and Bill raised their children, Tammy and Billy, in Middletown, NJ before retiring to Ocean City MD and then Fort Meyers FL.

She loved spending time with family and friends and always made times spent together special and fun. She had a welcoming personality and always made sure her door was always open. Diane was full of energy, smiles, and laughter that put everyone around her at ease. She gave more than she expected in return and always put her family first.
In addition to her parents, Diane was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Destafano, and her in-laws, Ruth and Howard Harte.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Bill Harte; her adoring children, Tammy Pritchard and her husband, Geoffrey, and Billy Harte and his wife, Stephanie; her grandchildren, Caitlyn and Nicole Pritchard, and Alexis Steel, Natalie, and Chelsea Harte.

Also surviving are her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Howard and Camille Harte; nieces and nephews, Michele and Michael Critelli, Kelly and Patrick O’Callaghan, Donna and Joseph Carter, Russel Destafano, and Samuel Destafano; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Lauren, Jessica, Brian, Michael, Joseph, and Sam.

Visitation and services were initially scheduled at the Dooley Colonial Home on Westfield Avenue in Westfield. All visitation and services will now be held at the Memorial Funeral Home 155 South Avenue Fanwood, NJ 07023.
